1. How can I use the internet to support my teaching and student learning?
I can allow students to use blogging to journal free response and critical thinking answers on Blogger like I am doing for this question. I can also use Moodle to allow students to answer critical thinking questions.
2. How can I ensure responsible and appropriate use of the internet?
I can use the Intel Slide presentation, because permissions is given by Intel, to teach students appropriate usage of the information, thoughts, and pictures or video clips they obtain on the internet. I can also counsel them on specific tools such as Blogger, Moodle, and other educational sites which they can use to share their ideas. I can also convey to them that their work will be monitored and checked by the teacher, and to follow all guidelines and laws for expressing and posting their work and ideas, AND obtaining and citing resources from the internet and other print materials. I can also ensure that I am modeling and demonstrating appropriate and responsible use of the internet and internet and print resources.

2. How can I use projects to enhance student learning?
Projects in the classroom allow students to be more engaged in their learning. They provide ways for students to act out what they have learned and apply certain skills, knowledge, and processess - and allow teachers to access the students' ability to apply the concepts they have learned. Authentic assessments can effectively access the student's ability to correctly and effectively demonstrate the skills and concepts they have learned! Portfolios, art activities, presentations, skits, mutlimedia presentations, blogs, online collaborating, and online surveys are a few of the assessments that can be used as projects to make learning more fun, interesting, productive, and assessible.
